There are also a number of Bed and Breakfast options. A popular location is Langley Hall, a 1903 Edwardian Mansion set on 2.5 acres of gardens. The property even has its own chapel that has been lovingly restored. Fine furnishings and art work coupled with the modern conveniences allows you to enjoy the old world charm of the gold rush money, but along with free WIFI.

If you want the warmth of a guest house, but with a little added privacy Bendigo Cottages is a great option. Located on Anderson Street, are three miners cottages in a delightful garden setting. Full cooked breakfast is served to your cottage each morning. Each cottage is slightly different, with some proving a wood fire and others a spa.

For a bit of Bendigo history try Bishops Court B&B. Built in 1876, it was built as a private house and surgery for surgeon and scientist Paul Howard MacGillvray. It later spent 64 years as a Bishop’s Palace for the Anglican Church. It has been privately owned since the 1980’s. Four poster beds, fireplaces in your room and an old fashioned games room available for the enjoyment of the guests. The gardens are exquisite and guests are encouraged to enjoy them.

For the budget conscious, there are five holiday parks with cabins, caravan and tent facilities located in and around Bendigo. There is also a backpackers in town which boasts all the facilities you need including a full kitchen, laundry, TV room and a BBQ area outside.

If you are needing a bit of extra room, staying for awhile or have a pet then why not check out some of the stunning holiday rentals. Fully equipped houses, that you can rent either on a per night or per week basis. There are a range of houses, with different levels of quality. They are often pet and child friendly and can cater for larger groups with some bedrooms fitted out with bunk beds. These are your home away from home, and allow you to cook and do laundry during your stay. Some of them allow small, well trained dogs inside their properties.

The Shamrock hotel has been an iconic feature in Bendigo since it was built in 1854. Beautifully maintained this stunning building can’t be missed in the heart of the city precinct. It has 28 accommodation rooms, 2 different dining styles, a TAB and sports bar and a new Lounge club. If you need to be the heart of the action in Bendigo then this location is central and has some history too.

If you are after a really special getaway and something a little bit different and luxurious then you can’t go past Byronsvale Vineyard Bed and Breakfast, a 160 acre property that backs onto bushland, only 10 minutes from the centre of Bendigo. Three self-contained apartments in a 144 years old stable block and the walls are made of brick, quartz and sandstone many of which are exposed. With a French-provincial feel the apartments overlook the vineyard and the full size petanque court. It is historic yet contemporary and would certainly be a stay not to be forgotten. Two of the apartments have one bedroom, while the third has two bedrooms. Breakfast provisions are available in your room for you to prepare in your kitchenette.
